SportsPro Magazine
SportPro is the number one international monthly publication for the sports money industry. It focuses on the sponsorship and financing of sport, as well as marketing and management, concentrating on the key business figures in the world of sport.
The team behind SportsPro created BusinessF1, a business magazine specifically for Formula One, in 2002. Over the years, BusinessF1 built up a high-quality circulation and readership, which increasingly included figures from outside Formula One who were mainly interested in the sports marketing nature of the editorial. At the turn of 2006/7 it became apparent that more than 50 per cent of the subscribers were from the general sports world rather than Formula One. The wider sports community was intensely interested in the numbers that were being published. When that became apparent, the next step was easy: it was time for change and SportsPro magazine was born.
SportsPro is now the most effective medium for communication with the global sports industry. No other journal comes close to offering the true global coverage that SportsPro does, and the magazine has a subscriber list beyond comparison with any other journal in this sector. It is read by senior managers and at Director level worldwide.
In addition to the more traditional editorial features, recent articles have included features focusing on Allen Stanford, Max Mosley, Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone, as well as special reports on corporate aviation, Asia-Pacific sports marketing and a run-through of the 200 most powerful people in sport.
Articles across 2009 will include a full run-down of the sports sponsorship league table, a special feature on stadium developments, a preview of the Monaco yacht show, focuses on sport in Abu Dhabi and Monaco and a Formula 1 circuit promoters guide.
Advertisers in recent editions of Sportspro include: Toyota, ING Direct, BP, Volvo Masters, MP & Silva, Visit Singapore, Ascari, A1 Team Monaco, SKI & Company, Formex, TW Steel, Princess yachts and Embraer.
