SportsPro’s new event dedicated to the over-the-top (OTT) industry in Asia brought together leaders from across the OTT value chain in Singapore last week to dive into the trends that are redefining the dynamic landscape of sports broadcasting and media across the APAC region.
Following on from the rapid growth of the SportsPro OTT Summit in Madrid, which has more than doubled in size since its launch as an international event in 2017, the inaugural SportsPro OTT Summit Asia united 200 senior executives from the key players and first movers in the OTT value chain, including broadcasters, rights holders, content distributors, social platforms and technology providers.
Hosted over two days in Singapore on the 27 – 28 March, 2019, the event’s format was shaped by an advisory board of senior representatives from companies such as beIN MEDIA GROUP, Bundesliga, ONE Championship, Twitter, Sina Sports, NAGRA, NFL, World Surf League, ICC, New Zealand Rugby, NBA, ESL and more.
According to SportsPro’s editor-at-large, Eoin Connolly, the summit brought home the role time-shifted and original content will play in connecting global digital audiences.
