The UK’s domestic solar and energy storage supply chains descended upon Birmingham’s NEC for Solar & Storage Live, 16-18 October 2018. The 3-day event proved to be, once again, the country’s largest solar and energy storage exhibition and conference.
More than 2,500 pre-registered visitors joined in excess of 80 individual exhibitors on the show floor, making this year’s edition of Solar & Storage Live larger than the previous year’s.
As the government prepares its response to consultations discussing the regulatory framework for solar, the industry is too planning its next steps. Cost reductions, business model innovations and new technologies are coming to the fore, offering new lines of business and revenue streams for installers, contractors and developers alike.
These were ever-present themes on the show floor and in the content theatres at the event, as visitors and speakers alike discussed just what the post-2019 landscape looks like.
