International Solar Technology Awards - the perfect way to profile your PV company!
by Adam Nethersole
Nominations are now open for the International Solar Technology Awards, organised by Photovoltaics International. The awards, which acknowledge and recognise achievements in the production of solar technology will be presented at Intersolar Munich on the 28th May 2009.
Within the awards emphasis is placed on real-world technical expertise required throughout the supply chain to push solar power toward grid-parity without government subsidies.
Each award category is judged by a panel of industry experts including senior staff from SEMI PV-Group, IPVEA, PV Resources.com, PV Magazine and Photovoltaics International Journal.
The industry public will also be able to vote online for their favourite candidates when voting opens in May. Judges will use pre-set criteria, available before nominations are entered, that will help ensure awards are granted in an unbiased way.
There are four main categories with a total of eight awards, covering the manufacturing supply chain from raw materials to modules. Awards are open to all companies involved in the solar industry, and nominations are now open.
