SportsPro launches December/January Edition

by Adam Nethersole

SportsPro Media, a Henley Media Group company, has launched its December/January issue, completing another successful and highly acclaimed year of publication in 2010.

The December/January issue examines the work of Peace and Sport, l’organisation pour la paix par le sport, the pioneering organisation led by Prince Albert of Monaco and Joel Bouzou, the president of the International Pentathlon Federation. The special report comes just weeks after Prince Albert was honoured by the United Nations for the organisation’s work and in advance of the Peace and Sport 2010 summit, which, like the report, analyses its work around the world, including in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti in January.

The magazine also features an in-depth cover story interview with Rick Dudley, the president and chief executive of Octagon, as well as its usual, industry-defining analysis, comment and interviews with key figures across the sports industry. Those interviews include: Patrick Nally, one of the founding fathers of the sports industry; Matthew Osmon, commercial director of basketball’s global governing body, Fiba; and legendary sailor Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the founder and chairman of the Clipper Round the World yacht race.

SportsPro is targeted specifically at the decision-makers, rights holders and senior executives who determine the future development of the world's major sporting competitions, sports events, properties and deals. The magazine provides its worldwide audience with a compelling blend of in-depth analyses, special reports, interviews with the industry's leading figures and a comprehensive directory of every major sports sponsorship deal each month.
